Terms of Use

The fine print.

Plain-English terms that apply when you order from Brickapple or use the site. Nothing here limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Scope

These terms govern the use of thebrickapple.com (the "site") and any purchase you make through it. The operator of the site and your contractual partner is the entity named on the imprint page. By placing an order you confirm you've read and accept these terms.

Orders & contract

The product listings on the site are an invitation to treat, not a binding offer. You make a binding offer when you click "Place order" at checkout. A contract is concluded only when we send you a separate order confirmation email. The automated order receipt does not constitute acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example, if a product is out of stock, if there's a pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraud. In that case any payment you've made will be refunded in full.

Pricing & payment

All prices are shown in your selected region's currency and include German statutory VAT (currently 19%) where applicable. Orders shipped outside the EU (e.g. to the US) are export deliveries to which German VAT does not apply. Shipping costs are added at checkout before you place the order. Payment is processed by Stripe at the time you place the order.

For deliveries outside the EU, import duties and taxes may be charged by the carrier on arrival. These are your responsibility and are not included in our prices.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch within 2 business days and ship worldwide. Transit times are listed on the FAQ. Risk of loss passes to you when the package is handed to you (or to a person you've authorised) at the delivery address.

Right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the goods reach you, with no need to give a reason. Full details and our voluntary 14-day return policy are on the returns page.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that have been made to your specifications or clearly personalised (e.g. custom builds, named prints).

Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply (in Germany: 2 years for new goods). If something arrives damaged or defective, email us within a reasonable time of discovering the defect and we'll repair, replace, or refund.

Liability

We are fully liable for damages arising from intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For damages caused by simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, and only up to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract. All further liability is excluded.

Intellectual property

All site content — text, images, build photography, instructions — belongs to Brickapple unless credited otherwise. You may share and link to it for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use, reproduction, or resale requires written permission. Brickapple is an independent project, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any other toy or construction-brick manufacturer.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you ordered as a consumer in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

Place of jurisdiction for merchants, public-law entities, and customers without a general place of jurisdiction in the EU is the registered seat of the operator (see imprint).
